The beginning

I started Mila & Co. because I genuinely cared about making better clothing for kids, and thought I already had it right. Then the tariffs hit. Looking for a new manufacturing partner led me to DJIC in Taiwan, where fabric development, manufacturing, and certifications all happen under one roof. For the first time, I could trace everything myself. That changed how I thought about this industry, and about what I was actually building.

Why this matters

For years, the conversation around kids' clothing has been about organic this, eco-friendly that. But if a piece falls apart after ten washes, it ends up in a landfill anyway. That's not sustainable, that's marketing. What actually lasts is what matters. So we rebuilt everything around that idea: fabrics engineered to hold up wash after wash, season after season, kid after kid. Milana Label isn't a rebrand. It's a complete rethink.

The fabrics

The foundation of Milana is custom fabric development, built to balance softness and strength in a way standard kidswear rarely achieves. Our signature fabric is a TENCEL™ Lyocell and spandex blend, traceable and breathable, well suited for sensitive and eczema-prone skin. Natural fibers can shift in texture over time, so we use specialized heat treatment to help ours hold up. Our organic cotton styles are GOTS certified, available in rib and french terry, with a finish that stays soft wash after wash.

The standard behind it

We work with vertically integrated manufacturing partners whose certifications cover the full production process, from knitting and dyeing through to cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing. Transparency without traceability is not enough. We are also a 1% for the Planet member, a portion of every sale supports environmental causes we believe in, chosen deliberately rather than left to a checkout add-on.
